This class offers a focused and hands-on approach to borosilicate glass flameworking through technique, instruction, and inspiration.

You’ll explore solid and hollow sculpting techniques, building a strong foundation in creating both solid and hollow forms.

Through assembly and advanced methods, you’ll learn how to combine elements into intricate, cohesive sculptures, applying advanced skills to bring your ideas to life.

*Beginner flameworking experience is required.

*Mulranny Arts wil supply some materials and have glass and tools available for purchase.

Our glass studio is not only equipped for borosilicate flameworking but also offers facilities for kiln forming, casting, stained glass, and painting on glass.

We collaborate with both local and international glass artists to provide a diverse range of classes and workshops, continually expanding and evolving with each inspiring artist who visits.

Looking ahead, we’re launching a membership program in 2025, featuring open studio nights to foster a vibrant maker’s community.

We’re also excited about plans for a glassblowing furnace in the future.

Sustainability is at the heart of Mulranny Arts, with all our studios working towards self-sufficiency by incorporating solar and wind energy wherever possible.

Mulranny Arts is located along Mulranny Beach with stunning views of Clew Bay Salt Marshes, the retreat offers inspiring coastal scenery to spark your creativity.

Accommodations include cozy, comfortable on-campus rooms, and you’ll enjoy delicious meals provided by Mulranny Arts, with the exception of lunch on tour days.

A private shuttle is available for arrivals, departures, and on-campus travel, with optional taxi service to and from Knock Airport for an additional fee.

The experience is enriched by two tour days and curated evening events, offering opportunities to experience the local history and culture! Throughout the week you’ll share wonderful meals, ideas, and inspiration with fellow participants.
