Class Description

Using cut selections of glass shapes pieced together with soldering techniques and held in a decorative zinc frame, create a sculpture to catch and reflect colourful light from your window.  Include cabochons and glass pebbles to a central opening, all connected with soldering applications.

In this class you will learn:

• How to cut and prepare your glass shapes.

• How to support free standing work.

• How to use a soldering iron to connect and secure the sculpture with solder.

• How to frame in a decorative zinc border.

• How to embellish with crystals or other objects.

• How to attach the hanging chain.
